Mark seems to have really mastered the art of fatherhood:

Post Election Food For Thought

I know this is long, but take the time to digest it and let me know your thoughts!!!

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the Public Treasury. From that moment on the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the Public Treasury with a result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy always followed by dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through the following sequence:

* From Bondage to Spiritual Faith
* From Spiritual Faith to Great Courage
* From Courage to Liberty
* From Liberty to Abundance
* From Abundance to Selfishness
* From Selfishness to Complacency
* From Complacency to Apathy
* From Apathy to Dependency
* From Dependency back into Bondage"

(Scottish judge and historian at Edinburgh University)

Do they look alike?

Here She Is!

The Proud Parents!

These two are a little fuzzy because they were taken through the nursery window.

Aunt Kelsey finally gets to love on her new niece!

Uncle Cade isn't quite as sure, but he cooperates.
(He says he can't wait until she's a "real person" like Peyton!)

Peyton comes for a visit!

Welcome to the Family, Hayley Jane!

A New Look

Have I mentioned that Kelsey got braces?
It was the last thing we expected on her perfect teeth,
but she was getting some weird movement in a few areas.
So, this is her new smile!
I think it's gorgeous!

What's up?

Thought you might like to see an update on the pool and deck!
No more jumping off the back porch!

This is the "under deck" area.
We have a outdoor kitchen, fireplace, and seating area.

And on a completely diffferent note, last night was high school homecoming!

This is Kelsey with her 3 closest friends.

Once again, she went with a great group of girls.
I'm glad they are doing more of this nowadays and not
getting so stressed about dates.

I think they all had a great time!
They went to the Oasis for dinner and then to the school dance.
At midnight, I got to pick them up and take them to I-Hop.
(Did I mention that I was tired??)
Another dad picked up and took almost all of them back
to his house for a sleepover!
A handful (including Kels) actually got up early and went downtown
to serve at Church Under the Bridge (a ministry for the homeless
downtown).
I was impressed!
