The Reptile

So yesterday, the dogs were going crazy in the backyard. Bark, bark, bark, bark, bark all day long. Over and over, I yelled at them to be quiet. I finally brought them inside because I couldn't get them to quit.

As soon as we put them back out in the yard this morning it started all over again. I decided I would be the detective. I was afraid I would find a snake, but it was a different kind of reptile. Can you see her? You may have to click on the picture to make it bigger. She is very well camoflauged!

This one is a little blurry, but she's still there!

I called Jack at work and he said I needed to rescue the poor little thing and relocate her.
I wasn't so fond of the idea of picking up an animal that might bite me, especially in the precarious place she had chosen to locate herself.

Good friend Dianne came to the rescue!
She "shoveled" the turtle out of her spot, and we gently placed her in a box.

We were going to take her down to the lake, but I decided to let her stay in the garage for the day so Jack and the kids could meet her when they come home.

She's been sticking her tongue out at me most of the day.
I sure hope Jack doesn't think we need to keep her!!

Tell Dianne she's now famous!

Can you believe you just took pictures of a turtle rescue, and posted them for others to see? You are definitely hooked on blogging now!
