what's the point in having kids if they can't be teased
in my country children are for display of parental success. chldren do well, mean parents did well. and sometime children accomplish things adults did not. pictures in embarassing situations allow adult to overcome embarassment of same from own childhood. its a circle.

I read your post with much interest while vacationing in San Paulo.
I dare not reveal my identity because I am afraid my so-called friends would recognize me and then tease me for my comment. question.
By the way, in case you wonder, I am not Brazillian, but am from New York and always travel with my dog. I see my friend Britany has already commented.
Anyway, I feel your pain. People are always publishing embarassing pictures of me without asking first. I usually ignore them.

It seems that you have an international following, Kelsey! I look forward to hearing more of your contributions. For the record, I am totally sympathetic to your plight of parental embarrassment, having been through very much the same thing at the hands of your Aunt Kathy- though of course this was in the days before blogs. Such widespread humiliation would have been quite beyond my imagination. The good news is that all things come full circle and I now have a chance to embarrass my own daughter! :)
