Kelsey and Molly hit it off. They had so much fun together. I think Kelsey would have liked to just move in.
Cade was so afraid he was not going to have anything to do "in this house full of girls," but Thomas (the kid in the red jacket) soon entered the picture!! What a hoot! He kept Cade entertained.
Brother and Sister!
Cade loved the treehouse near Ellen's house.
Out for Ice Cream
Ellen's friend generously offered us her house one night. It was so cute and cozy.
All Cade cared about was the basketball goal in the back yard!!
We traveled up the coast to Myrtle Beach, where we saw a "Legends of Rock and Roll Show" one night. Kelsey and Cade got to "meet" Elvis and Tina Turner (among others)!
Cade catches a lizard at a plantation. (Does that surprise you?)
We went to this touristy outdoor mall called Barefoot Landing. It was kind of cold, but the kids had fun.
There was a winery there so I got to taste some South Carolina wines. Kind of different, very fruity.
Even cheesier, we went to the Ripley's in Myrtle Beach. Our "well-educated, cultured" children thought this was the most fun of the whole trip!
While driving around the city, we found this incredible resort hotel for $58.00 a night (off-season luck!). This is the view from our balcony.
Downstairs there was a coffee shop, ping pong table, pool toble, and an indoor, heated pool with slides and a lazy river.
It also happened to feature a basketball goal so Cade was thrilled.
One morning, we all found it incredibly humorous when Cade insisted that all he needed to make his vacation complete was Krispy Kreme doughnuts. An hour (and probably about 50 miles later), we made our son's dream come truel!!!
Another plantation with a HUGE tree. (Jack and I would have loved to spend more time at the plantations, but remember those well-educated, cultured children???)
Way too much lobster at an all-you-can-eat buffet.
See, I really was on the trip! I just never get in any of the pictures because I'm always taking them. Anyone else have that problem???
This picture is kind of random, but Jack was fascinated by the bridges so we had to include it!
