Jack was the big hero at church yesterday
for capturing a little 10-inch rattlesnake.

When we got home, he was greeted with a REAL rattlesnake.
This guy was on our corner (right where the kids wait at the bus stop!!)

Jack got out his trusty snake stick
(doesn't everyone have one?)
and scooped him right up.

Jack talked about relocation, but I insisted on capital punishment!
I just wonder where his friends are!

Ewww, that is a big snake. I am glad he got him. We will miss you guys while we are gone. We need to get together next week.
I knew there had to be a good reason I don't live in Texas!!!
Did I mention we don't have rattlesnakes up here?
I'm a little afraid to ask, but can't help but wonder how one, well, capitally punishes a snake? I mean, what method?
The real question is did someone pee on the snake? I ask because I remember that texans "like to pee on nature", but maybe only if it is a lizard... I would provide a link in reference to this comment, but www.kathybarton.com is no longer the barton family picture gallery.
Ah, but it is available still, just not updated anymore! Click here and scroll all the way down to "Snakes" or you can just go directly here.
(BTW, this event was about 4 years ago.)
When I went to the www.kathybarton.com it was a web based systems home page... hmmmm maybe we need to talk with craig about this conspiracy
